Top Mocktail Ideas for Summer Events
Summers are always a great time to enjoy drinks, whether it’s at home or on the patio with friends and family. There are many fun things you can do, but one thing that is very popular around summer parties is mocktails. A mocktail is an incredibly simple cocktail that combines ingredients for which no one knows how they got it. The most common ones include vodka topped with fresh fruit, orange juice, and club soda. It’s essentially a combination of two different cocktails that you add water to. Here are some ideas of what to make if you’re looking for an all-inclusive bar getaway.
Fruit & Veggie Cocktail
This might be my favorite type of cocktail. When I’m in college, I love making this drink when we go out. We often make our own lemonade from scratch, so instead we’ll use frozen berries and mix the juices into it. You can also garnish it with fresh fruits like strawberries or melons. It’s perfect for brunch or lunch. Plus, because it’s so light, it won’t keep your hands super clean.
Yuzu Margarita
A margarita is another option if you don’t want the traditional margarita. Instead of using champagne, you could try mixing yuzu juice with club soda. This will give it a citrusy taste and it’s a twist on classic margaritas. Mix it up by adding orange juice if you really want something more spicy. Just remember to let the mixture stand for about 15 minutes before serving to ensure everything is fully diluted.
Strawberry Sparkler
This one is my personal favorite. It has strawberry juice mixed in with a sweet sparkling wine. Simply fill your glass then top it off with a small amount of club soda. To cut down on calories, opt for bottled water instead of club soda. Or even just pour directly from the bottle. Either way works well.
Almond Milk Punch
This drink is super easy. All you need is vodka, almond milk, and orange juice. Add club soda to the mix, stir until well combined, and pour over ice in a tall glass. Don’t worry about any foam, as this drink itself should still taste good without any added extras. Serve at room temperature with a straw as a side.
Banana Orange Ginger Lemonade
This is going to sound silly, but banana orange ginger lemonade is actually pretty good. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true. Banana and orange juices work together really well, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any banana. So start adding your own juices and orange slices and mixing them well. Then it’s time to chill!
Orange Crush Cocktail
A classic cocktail that never fails, orange crush cocktail is probably one of my must-have cocktails. Combine vodka, orange liqueur, orange juice, club soda, and syrup. Add a slice of orange to each ingredient. Shake it up until well diluted and serve straight up. Any time you’d rather not mess up your cocktail, you can pair it with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or strawberries.
I hope these mocktail recipes were helpful for anyone who needs help planning their next party. Happy tasting!
Happy Drinking!
